This has been a crazy year already for weather, but as the days march on, sweet summer sunshine will be making its welcome appearance before we know it. Get ready for it now by jazzing up your look with “Fabulous,” a new offering from Nine West.
The rich color here is somewhere between a rich mahogany and chestnut, with a lot of depth and luminosity. It offers a size large enough to provide great protection from ol’ sol, but not so huge that it becomes cartoonish. There is a slight lift at the bottom, and the corners have been oh-so-slightly rounded, so the frame sidesteps becoming harsh and angular.
The real star of the show on this frame is the unique jeweling on the sides. Generally jewels are set on top of the plastic for maximum eye-catching iridescence, but these have been somehow just barely covered with a very thin clear acetate. This gives the various-sized crystals a completely different appearance, which reminds me of the stars in the sky of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”
So ditch those depressing winter clothes, grab a couple of fun summer outfits, and finish it all off with some jazzy new sunglasses, and everyone will be saying “You look Fabulous!”
